Okay so you’ve received some lovely presents from Simply Pleasure for Christmas and had the best week off work ever...if you want the room rocking to continue though, it’s best to make sure you are looking after your new best friends like you would your...erm...actual best friends.
The last thing you want is for a lapse in hygiene or care to result in either your toys not working at optimum oooooooh efficiency or (EEK!) an infection where you really don’t want one.
Here are a few things you need to do to help protect yourself:
• Okay we’re cheating with this one...but try to check out your sex toys before you buy them...we don’t mean try before you buy of course, but check for damage or any signs that the product may have been used (OMG!).
• Clean your toys after every use. Warm water and an antibacterial cloth will do the trick.
• Take the batteries out before you put them away.
• Make sure you’re using the right lube, if not...you could be in a rude awakening, and not the kind of rude awakening that we like. For example, if you use an oil-based lube on dildos, you could get an infection. Water-based lubes are your friends, use them!
