Middle-Age; Sense of Smell May Deteriorate, But Not Sense of SEX!

It seems that there is a common misconception that when we reach midlife, it all stops; sense of smell, skin elasticity and even sex life. Well this blog looks to put this horrible misconception to rest – especially to our younger readers who tend to shudder at the thought of growing older. Fear not, things get sexier!

If you have trouble believing this, American researchers have even gone to the extent to gain cold, hard facts surrounding midlife sex lives. On the contrary to many presupposed thoughts, over 70 per cent of middle-aged people continue to have sex frequently.

At this point, we would normally like to jump in and exclaim that dildos and sex toys play a huge part in this impressive figure. However, the research goes on to reveal that not only are these participants actually enjoying more regular sex than when they were younger, they are actually gaining emotional pleasure.

Furthermore, the research goes on to explain how not only do our senses begin to fail us during middle-age, the brain tricks us into thinking somebody is more attractive than they actually are. This in turn leads to being more turned on during sex as your brain thinks you’re making love to Pamela Anderson when in fact it is Pat Butcher!

Still, not to look a gift horse in the mouth, if this is the way our brain wants to work at this stage of life, who are we to complain? With the likelihood of bagging a Zac Efron at that age slim to none, as long as we think they’re Brad Pitt; all is well. And if he’s prepared to incorporate the We Vibe 3 into things, we’d sooner fast forward to that age right now!

So fear not everyone, things really DO get better with age!
