Well here goes...

Well, this is tricky. I was asked to write a blog. My very first one. But I am struggling with a topic. Ask around and all people want to talk about is “50 Shades” and in all honesty I think it's been covered. I read it because I wanted to know what all the fuss was about and in my job I couldn't have a conversation without it coming up. It was OK. The interesting thing about it is that it became mainstream. We've been selling books like this in our shops for a while. Xcite Books have been going since 2007 and are award winning, but *that* book you can pick up in Tesco with your apples. Mums are reading it. And I’m not just talking yummy mummies. I bet *your* mum’s read it (I know mine has). And come on, that’s not something you want to dwell on. I have a few issues with the book but this isn't the place for it. In fact I’m pretty sure I said I didn't want to talk about it at all!


I’m not sure how this is supposed to work. I mean, what’s best for you? I can’t miraculously make your sex life better. I can suggest things that we sell that might help to improve it.
